Process & Production: Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends

I've loved Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends since I was a kid, being drawn to the bold colours and the obvious appeal all of the characters had due to their quirkiness.
Whilst looking into Flash for this project, I had a look to see if I knew any of the cartoons that had been created using it. I had no idea that this was made with it!
For some reason, I'm really drawn to the fact that none of the characters have black outlines. I really like the clean and crisp feel that this gives to them.
Now that I know this though, I'm definitely going to look into improving my skills in Flash. A lot of animations featuring a similar style to this were shown on Cartoon Network back in the day so they may have also been created using Flash. I think it's really interesting learning how your childhood favourites were made and having the ability to potentially be able to make something siliar is really exciting.
My favourite character in Foster's has to be Bloo (pretty easy to guess which one he is). Purely for his character design, proving that simplicity can create tons of appeal. I love the way the lack of legs just makes him shuffle along the floor, I think it's adorable.
On a whole, I think Foster's is lovely. I must just really like bright and bold animations, because anything that has bright colours in it, I seem to be instantly gripped!
