OUAN406 - Applied Animation - A Tale in the Sting - E4 Idea Reference

Character Reference 

With the existing E4 idents being a little on the strange side, I wanted to design a character that could also reflect this in my animation.
I looked at the design of characters that have quite distinctive yet expressive facial features to help with some inspiration for my own. 








While these provided good ideas on a research basis, I decided against using an 'in your face' kind of character as I want the purple E4 space hopper to be the main focus of the ident. 
I began thinking of characters with simple facial features but are yet still memorable. 
I was thinking something along the lines of Rich Uncle Pennybags from Monopoly or Terrance and Phillip from South Park.
Both have very simple facial features but they're instantly recognisable. 

I'll also be looking for references on the squash and stretch of a space hopper in use.
