Rapunzel - Mother Gothel

I absolutely love the character of Mother Gothel in Tangled.  I think her character design, mannerisms, and voice acting are all spot on for her character. Initially, she had taken the role of a kindly mother figure to Rapunzel after her kidnapping, she has shown to be emotionally abusive, constantly berating Rapunzel over her appearance and personality though she claims the insults are mere jests and harmless teasing.

My favourite thing about her is probably her design. I think they've captured her evil side perfectly in her facial expressions, her hair and the dark clothing that she wears. The facial expressions she has in her concept art and in the film are fabulous. 

Also, she has a certain quality that other Disney villains lacks. She watches only her own business and does not mind absolutely anyone until someone upsets her, jeopardises her or takes away something important to her. She has a dark, evil side and isn't just evil for the sake of it. 

I truly think she's one of the best Disney villains and I love how you can see the change in her personality from the following two videos.
