It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown

I've been looking at some hand drawn animated characters to inspire my own when it comes to designing. I knew I wanted a very linear kind of style as I wasn't planning on adding colour. I thought back to my early childhood, watching It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown (1966) and being scared of the -in my own words- 'lifeless' expressions on the characters faces (I wasn't a very brave kid). I still find them a little creepy but I know that Peanuts cartoons are a good example of traditional hand drawn animation. I decided to look the into clip from it as thats the only part I can really remember in detail - the intro. I actually like the part where they're carving the pumpkin, I just like the sweat coming off Charlie's head, I think it's cute.
