Environmental Storytelling - Spaces & Places

Where are you drawing?
I drew various places around Leeds, Wakefield and Manchester.

Why have you chosen to draw there?
I didn't really have the money to travel, but there are a few interesting spots around my chosen places.

What are you expecting to see, what is of interest to you?
The architecture of different cities is always interesting to see.

What do you think you are going to draw whilst there, (a vista that can be zoomed into with a camera, an interior scene, stairs, lifts???)
With all 3 being cities, I'm expecting to see a lot of people going about their business.

How are you going to draw? (Are you going to do a series of short observational drawings, make notes about the sights, sounds smells, conversations, actions, movements and interactions of people, take photographs and refer to them later?)
I'll be doing short (perhaps 5-10 minute) drawings.

What media are you going to use?
Pencil and a variety of pens.

What about light, shadow, colour, texture, shape, composition, perspective.? How can these be used as storytelling devices.
I'll be visiting the Dark Arches in Leeds as one of my places so it'll be good to show some mark making in my drawings.

Are there famous/infamous stories about the spaces that you already know?
Probably not famous, but definitely recognisable.
