As I've chosen E4 as one of my channels for the Idents project, I started by looking through previous E4 idents to myself an idea as to what styles, stories, characters and themes etc have been produced and how they may be able to influence my animation. A lot of them seem to have a comedic theme with no particular story and a lot of them make use of Stop-motion and 3D Digital animation. Its pretty clear that these types of idents are directed more towards a young adult audience due to it’s borderline mature content but also the content of the shows on this network.
The common denominator with all these idents is the use of the E4 logo and purple, which is a recurring theme.

I'll be taking these aspects into consideration in my ident, whilst thinking about the colour elements of the animation and so purple is the clear signifier and somehow incorporate the logo within my ident.
As E4 is an entertainment channel, to fit in with ambiance I think I'll be better off creating something with comedic value.
