OUAN406 - Applied Animation - A Tale In The Sting - E4 Production Process & Final

Since I had the intention to create this ident digitally from the start, I thought I'd give animating in Photoshop a go.
As I'm not 100% confident about drawing in Photoshop itself, I wasn't holding out much hope for the quality of this animation.
However, once the animating had been done, I then added the video file into iMovie to add in the audio.
I'd been told that there was some free sound files on the E4 website for a past ident competition so I thought they'd be good to use.
Also, whilst looking for a sound effect for the 'boink' of the space hopper when it landed on the ground, I came across a spoken one on freesound.org.
The guy sounded really unenthusiastic when he said it and I thought it'd be great to add in my ident for the comedic value. I think since I added that in the animation wouldn't be out of place with the other E4 idents.

I found the process of this animation quite intimidating since it was the first ident I started and I didn't have much experience with animating in Photoshop before I began.
I don't think the end result has turned out particularly well, theres quite a few glitches which got pointed out in my final crit (which I was already aware of) and the squash and stretch of the space hopper could be better. I did attempt it however, it was just my lack of knowledge on the software that held me back I think.
If I have time after completing my other animations I'll try to rectify this to a higher standard.
