The feedback from my first crit was relatively positive. I didn't have my audio recorded or generally much work at this point so when I showed my animatic, I had to show it with the original song that I chose.
I'd acted out the sorts of facial expressions I wanted Moom to have when I was animating him to give myself and my peers some sort of idea where I was going with it.
I mentioned in my crit that I wasn't 100% getting along with Maya but was told to just practice until I got the hang of it. Everyone seemed to like the persona I'd assigned Moom, and if I managed to pull it off in animating it should be quite entertaining.
At this point, I'm still a bit worried about my knowledge of Maya, the study tasks are helping me get the hang of it but having missed a couple of college sessions, I've been pretty much teaching myself from eStudio.
