OUAN504 Character & Narrative: Making Faces

For this study task, we had to practice a short lip syncing sequence on Moom to prepare us for the lip syncing in our animation.
At first, I found this task quite challenging but once I got the hang of it it was relatively straight forward.

We were given a selection of short spoken clips from films to choose from for Moom to speak.
I chose the clip from Austin Powers.

With the use of the CP_Facial Panel, you could move Moom's mouth to mimic him saying the words.

Once I'd moved Moom's mouth to a position I thought made him look like he's saying the word, I set a keyframe (by pressing S on the frame) to that it would stay in place.

With it being the first time I'd tried this (and the fact that Moom doesn't have a tongue) , I wasn't expecting the outcome to be great but it hasn't turned out too badly.
I think I should have probably recorded myself saying the quote for reference so I could get more of an idea on how the mouth looks when saying those words but I think it turned out okay for a first try regardless.
