OUAN504: Character & Narrative - Animating

The animation of my sequence of Moom was probably the most challenging thing I've ever had to do on a software throughout my education.
To be fair, it didn't turn out half as bad as I thought it would have done, but there are a few things that I could have done to make it better if I had the time.

Anyway, before I started anything, I wanted to change the look of Moom to make him look more like a teenage girl and less ugly.

First of all, I added eyelashes by using the cone too to create a cone and extruded the corners to bend them to look like flicks.
I added three of these to each eye to give him a girly cartoon feel and to not make them look too realistic.
I parented these to Moom's eyes to that they would stay put throughout animating.

Then by opening Hypershade, I was able to change the colour of Moom's eyes, skin tone, joints etc to make him look more like I wanted him to.

I was happy with how I made Moom look by doing all this, I think he looked a lot cuter and more like a teenage girl.

The animating itself I found very difficult. Well, more tedious than anything.

Having to move every joint, keyframe, then move it a tiny bit more, keyframe etc to create a fluid movement all whilst trying to create a realistic lip sync was pretty much soul destroying and has put me off using 3D software maybe even for life (dramatic).

I understand that animation is patience but this really tested mine!
I was however proud of myself once I'd started getting it right.
It's kind of a big deal for me to be able to do it at least a tiny bit with how much I've been struggling with it.
Once I'd properly got the hang of it I was away and I am quite pleased with how this has turned out.
By any means, it's probably not going to be the best but for me, I'm proud of how it's turned out so far.
