OUAN505: Applied Animation - Briefing

Today we were briefed on our next project, Applied Animation which focuses on creating a 1-2 minute documentary, which should be fully formed animation to professional, industry standard based around the subject of food. 
We all took notes for the briefing to make sure we knew what was required.

- It will be made to be seen by an audience.
- Negotiated brief.
- Identify design problems (output methods, efficiency, design choices etc.)
- Think carefully about religion, making sure your work doesn't offend eg. meat and beliefs. 
- Quite flexible on times - quality not quantity.
- Assessed individually, can collaborate.
- Think outside the box, don't go straight for the common healthy eating option


Studio Brief 1: Pre Production and Research
Deadline: 27th February
Pitch - 10 Minutes
- You decide how much information is appropriate
- Make sure your idea is concrete when presenting
- Demonstrate an in-depth amount of research
- Fact check
- Primary Research
- Studio Brief must be burnt to disk
- During research you must have evidence of experiments with materials

Studio Brief 2: Production
Deadline: 8th May

- By this deadline day the animation should be ready to show to an audience for feedback.
- You will be writing a questionnaire for feedback from this audience to change anything last design errors etc. (It should be finished but only if any adjustments are needed) 

Studio Brief 3: Distribution 
- Poster (A2) Promote Film
- Log Line (Short summary - no longer than two lines)
- Storyline (synopsis) No longer than 250 characters.
- 3x images from animation
- 5x images of process production (concept art, storyboarding etc.)
- Crew and director biography
Create DVD box art to accommodate animation

Deliverable Specifications:

30Mb, H264, 720p or 1080p
