OUAN505: Applied Animation - Pre Production

Me and Rosy have decided to work together on this brief, and as we share the same kind of sense of humour, we've decided to go down a comedic route for our animation.
We began to research various animations that have food as characters and see where we could go from there.
As me and Rosy are both very 2D based, I think we're pretty much set on doing a 2D animation, however since a lot of the videos we've looked at so far are heavily stop motion based, perhaps we'll reconsider. I first looked into some 2D examples.

I really like style of both of these animations, the first one in particular. We were shown this one in class and with it being animated to a very catchy song and having very cute characters, I think it was very enjoyable.
Me and Rosy came to the conclusion that we wanted to go down the route of an animation with a rap, rather than a spoken narrative.
When we came up with this, I instantly thought of all of the horrible attempts at rap I've ever heard (serious or parody) and thought it would be pretty funny to have ours in this kind of style.

These are a couple of examples that I straight away wanted to influence our rap. We want it to be bad so it can add to the comedic effect, and I think these would be great references and with it being animated it can be exaggerated a lot more.
